MarCole Interactive Systems, the leading provider of gift registry solutions for multi-channel retailers has introduced CatalogWorks - a robust on-line shopping application designed for retailers and manufacturers. It is designed to expeditiously and cost-effectively add detailed product information and on-line shopping functionality to non-transactional web sites. It can be used in either business-to-consumer or business-to business applications.

Customers can view product information, or shop on-line from an unlimited product assortment, utilizing intuitive navigation enabling them to quickly find the right products.

They can easily navigate from department to sub-department or collection, to the individual item, or take advantage of a quick description search using keywords. An advanced option enables searching by various criteria such as department, price range, brand, item number and/or item description.

Related products can be grouped in appropriate collections and the product display order can be controlled by the site administrator to maximize merchandising effectiveness. Furthermore, SKU or collection specific product status information, such as available on-line only, special order, seasonal, etc. can be displayed.

Non-technical staff can easily add, delete, organize, categorize, and enhance product information with complementary content management tools provided by MarCole.

The graphical user interface can be customized to match retailer specific branding and a multi-lingual interface is available. Item information stored on POS or other central systems can be loaded and kept current automatically.

CatalogWorks is designed as a stand-alone product that can be easily integrated with MarCole Gift RegistryWorks. Once an item is located, customers can place it in a shopping cart or add it to their gift registry or wish list.

Contemporary tools make it possible to automatically, grab and display multiple product images in real-time from any image server connected to the web. Furthermore, manufacturers can use CatalogWorks to share their product images with authorized retailers to use on their own websites.

Both licensed and hosted Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) options are available.
