Announces e-Showroom
Allowing Retailers to Place Inventory on
the Web
May 16, 2008, Colorado Springs, CO
PROFITsystems, Inc., the leading software provider for the home
goods industry, has announced the completion of phase one of e-Showroom,
which links a retailer's merchandise to their Website. Partnering
PROFITsystems, a specialist in software for the home goods industry
and Marcole, a company that specializes in e-commerce solutions
was a perfect blending of knowledge and resources. "This
is just one more area where we have increased our service commitment
to our clients. Our e-Showroom enables our clients to establish
brand awareness and increase their traffic levels from an audience
they might currently be missing. In today's economy, shoppers
are educating themselves on-line before they even hit their first
furniture store. Retailers need to maximize their advertising
dollar and what better way to do this than to put their inventory
on their Website - a second store without the building expense.
By using this incredible marketing tool, we are making it easy
for our clients to help their customers," said Jeff Niskern,
President of PROFITsystems.
The first phase of the PROFITsystems new e-Showroom solution
was designed to perform two major functions. The first is to enable
a store to load item data and images automatically to their Websites
from their item master file. The second is to make it easy to
organize, categorize, and create a user-friendly shopping experience
for a store's customers. "One of the most difficult aspects
of maintaining a store Website is dedicating man-hours to keeping
it current. By automating updates on item information, images,
and prices, our clients can have a great Website that is always
up-to-date, without dedicating excessive hours to the project,"
states Mitch Hight, CIO for PROFITsystems.
Developed by MarCole Interactive System in cooperation with PROFITsystems,
search criteria include brand, department, category, and even
sub-category, allowing effortless navigation for shoppers visiting
the Website. Shoppers will be able to browse products, view images,
and create a wish list of products to look at in person. "One
of the key functions of a Website is to act as an advertising
forum to drive traffic into the store. Our e-Showroom is like
adding an additional showroom which is open anytime a customer
wants to shop, even if that is at 2 a.m.," expressed Niskern.
PROFITsystems' e-Showroom is an affordable medium for an outstanding
Website shopping environment that delivers a personalized tool
that provides both revenue and customer satisfaction. Future phases
will include gift registry and shopping cart capabilities.
In their continued efforts to make retailers more profitable,
PROFITsystems will also concentrate on managing the marketing
aspect of a retailers' Website. PROFITconsulting will use on-line
technology as a medium to assist retailers in developing a marketing
strategy including: newsletters, customer follow-up, sales promotions,
and email advertising, to enhance their business.
PROFITsystems is the leading total solutions provider of the
home goods industry. Key components of their retail solutions
include management software, consulting, performance groups, group-buying
freight programs, advanced education, and e-commerce. PROFITprofessional's
features include fully integrated inventory management, customer
relations management, and accounting systems. PROFITsystems was
